Before installation
Roof Rack Compatibility
Your vehicle, roof rack and mounting system must all be suitable for the combined weight and dimensions of your Rebellion setup.
Crossbars or Platform Rack
Rebellion rooftop tents must be mounted to suitable load-rated crossbars or a load-rated platform rack with compatible mounting points.
Check Both Load Ratings
Confirm the dynamic rating of both your vehicle roof and your roof-rack system. Your setup must remain within the lowest applicable rating.
Include Rack Weight
Crossbars, platforms, brackets and mounting hardware all count towards your vehicle's total dynamic roof load.
Mounting Position
Ensure the rack provides suitable spacing, mounting width and support across the product base without unsupported overhang.
Vehicle Clearance
Confirm clearance around the roof, doors, tailgate, antennas and any other roof-mounted accessories.
Awning Mounting
Awnings require secure, load-rated brackets connected directly to the rack or platform using an appropriate mounting arrangement.

Care & Maintenance
Regular cleaning, drying and inspection will help protect your Rebellion rooftop tent or awning and keep it ready for future trips.
After Every Trip
Brush away dirt, sand and debris. Rinse off mud or salt with fresh water and inspect the product and mounting hardware for damage.
Dry Before Packing
Allow all fabric and internal surfaces to dry completely before long-term storage. If packed wet, reopen the product as soon as possible and allow it to dry fully.
Fabric Cleaning
Use lukewarm water, a soft brush or cloth and mild non-detergent soap. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaning products and high-pressure washing.
Zippers and Moving Parts
Remove sand and dust from zippers and inspect hinges, struts and moving components regularly. Use only suitable lubricants where recommended.
Mounting Hardware
Inspect brackets, bolts, rails and mounting points before travel and after rough-road use. Tighten or replace hardware when required.
Coastal and Beach Use
Wash salt and sand from fabric, brackets, hinges and exposed metal components after coastal use. Allow the product to dry thoroughly before storage.
Condensation
Ventilate the tent during use and wipe down internal condensation before packing. Air the tent fully whenever moisture remains inside.
Long-Term Storage
Store the product clean and completely dry in a cool, ventilated location. Avoid leaving damp bedding or equipment inside the tent.
